Entries are open for the 2013 Bay of Plenty Young Fruit Grower of the Year, contest.

The day-long event is on June 26 with a range of theoretical and practical activities followed by a speech and quiz.

The winner who will represent the region at the NZ Young Fruit Grower and Young Grower of the Year competition receives $1500 in cash, the runner-up $100 and second runner-up $500.
