A pedestrian has suffered minor injuries after being hit by a car in Tauranga this morning.

Police said they were notified of a crash involving a car and a pedestrian on Levers Rd at about 8.50am.

The pedestrian sustained minor injuries.

Police said the road may be partially blocked, though could not confirm if it was closed.

Google Maps showed heavy traffic on Levers Rd earlier this morning, but it has since eased.
