A Tauranga College Girls’ student has been treated for minor injuries after a crash involving a car and truck earlier today.
Emergency services responded to the incident at about 8.50am on 22nd Ave, with the crash briefly blocking the road before the scene was cleared.
Tauranga Girls’ College principal Tara Kanji told SunLive the passenger in the car was attended to by staff from the college while waiting for ambulance and police to arrive.
“The injured patient was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.”
Kanji said a family member later confirmed the patient was expected to be discharged shortly.
