Two vehicle crashes over half hour period

Emergency services have attended two accidents within half an hour of each other, near Ōkere Falls, and Pāpāmoa.

One person has moderate injuries after a vehicle crash in the Ōkere Falls area.

"Police received reports of a  one-vehicle crash near Hamurana Rd about 6.30pm," police said.

"One person has sustained moderate injuries."

Fire and Emergency New Zealand northern shift manager Paul Radden said they received a reported of the motor vehicle crash near Ōkere Falls, Rotorua district at 6.31pm.

"We attended a motor vehicle crash on Hamurana Rd," Radden said.

"One vehicle was involved. Three fire stations responded - from Ngongotahā, Ōkere Falls, and Rotorua.

"One truck from each station was in attendance, and we assisted police and ambulance."

Pāpāmoa

Police received a report of a two-vehicle crash on Doncaster Rd, Pāpāmoa about 7pm.

"[There are] no reported injuries and police are in attendance," police said.
