For the first time, Salon One in Fraser Cove is giving back to its community in a significant way, offering a complimentary makeover.

The makeover is worth $600, with a range of treatments included, according to Salon One Hair’s social media manager, Jade Phillips.

“We wanted to give back to our community.”

The giveaway is open to anyone in the community, with the salon wanting to celebrate local heroes in Tauranga, Phillips said.

“We believe in celebrating the everyday heroes.”

The competition is open to all, including dedicated teachers, reliable volunteers, and individuals who have faced significant challenges with strength, Phillips said.

“We want to honour them in a meaningful way.”

The Salon recently went through a range of changes, including hiring a barber and felt it was the right time to give back to the community, Phillips said.

“We wanted to do something a little bit different.”

To enter the competition, entrants must leave a comment on the Salon Ones Facebook post saying why the person they nominated should win the makeover.

The competition ends on July 31.
