The Katikati Avocado Wine and Food Festival has become an annual `must' for locals and holiday makers - a respite from the beach to enjoy fine food, wine and entertainment in the historic Uretara Domain.

The Pakeke Lions organised event will be on Saturday January 19, 2013 with funds raised going to the completion of the Cancer Society's New Lion's Lodge in Hamilton.

There will be a wide range of foods on sale and well as wines from Askern Estate, Finer Wines, Hihi Wines, Makaraka Estate, Morton Estate and Volcanic Hill Wines. Avocado themed competitions are part of the day and there's entertainment for children too.

Three groups will perform throughout the day. The South Workshop, back by popular demand, play the classics from Abba, to YMCA, and many other popular hits. Tony Edwards Trio is an experienced group of musicians who play numbers from Rock ‘n roll, jazz, pop to middle of the road. 'Double Xposure'.is a professional duo from Tauranga with a great sound and large repertoire enjoyed by all age groups.
