Katikati Lions are holding their popular monthly garage sale from 8am – 11am at the containers behind Caltex in Katikati. Come along, find lounge suits, beds and household goods while supporting local organisations.

There are also markets being held in Greerton at the Greerton Hall from 8am - 12pm, and in Omokoroa at the Omokoroa Settlers Hall from 9am - 1pm.

Youthfest

This afternoon, enjoy Youthfest at Tauranga Historic Village, from 1pm - 4pm. It's an event packed wtih lots of free giveaway, live music including emerging young talent, youth-run market stalls, sports activities that promote teamwork and healthy living, and interactive workshops highlighting a range of organisations available to youth.

This inaugural event, aligned with Youth Week, will feature an electrifying line-up of local youth bands such as Requiem, Blah Blah Uh Huh Boo Hoo, and the dynamic duo Ashlee & Simone with their live looping performance, along with Quann.

The Tauranga Open Cross Country races are happening today from 12noon and are suitable for all ages from approximately five years up to all masters grades with distances from 1km to 8km. ORganised by Tauranga Ramblers and Athletics Tauranga, the event is being held at Waipuna Park.

Pop up art expo

A group exhibition of 28 enthusiastic members of the Tauranga Society of Artists have a pop up exhibtion happening at the Peoples Gallery Toi ka rere, Historic Village, 17th Avenue Tauranga from January 20 - February 10. The gallery is open from 10am -3pm Monday to Sunday.
