Head along to XRACE at Mount Drury Reserve, Marine Parade, Mount Maunganui from 1pm - 3.30pm for a fun-filled family event - where adults and children age six to 14 race together, locate and complete 10 mystery challenges. You'll find everything from dance sequences to double sack races, knowledge and memory games.

The New Zealand Festival of Longboarding is happening at Pāpāmoa Beach Saturday and Sunday, February 17-18.  Head down to The Domain this weekend to catch some of New Zealand’s best Longboarders in action.
 
This two-day event, new to the Bay of Plenty Region, is part of the wider New Zealand Longboard Series and caters for Under 18s, Seniors, Open Men and Open Women. A celebration of Longboarding in New Zealand, the New Zealand Festival of Longboarding brings together some of the most talented Longboarders in the country. The Open Champions of this event will qualify for the New Zealand Longboard team to head overseas to represent New Zealand at the ISA World Longboard Championship!

There is only one more night to go! Make your way to Te Puna Quarry’s charming outdoor amphitheatre for a magical evening of William Shakespeare’s ‘The Tempest’. Summer Shakespeare Tauranga Trust’s cast have been rehearsing relentlessly for the past three months and now bringing audiences a stellar show. Held at the Te Puna Quarry Park, the last performances will run from 7.30pm-9.40pm, Saturday, February 17. Refreshments are available. For more information click here

Free Pocket Sized Play in Red Square

Did you know there’s a free Pocket Sized Play activity for children to enjoy every Saturday in Red Square from 10.30am-1.30pm? Many families have come down and enjoyed pottery making, face painting, hungerball inflatable arena and plenty more.
