Resurfacing work continues on State Highway 29 at Hinuera through February with full road closure during the week days.

Rehabilitation works which commenced on Friday February 9 will continue to Thursday February 29 within Hinuera Township and Hinuera Rd on SH29.

The works are being undertaken using weekday road closures which will remain in place between 6am and 6pm from Monday to Friday.

SH29 will reopen during nights, from 6pm through to 6am, and on weekends under temporary speed limits throughout the duration of the work.

An alternative route for those travelling SH29 westbound towards Hamilton: SH29 - Right onto SH27, Left onto Puketutu Road, Left onto Hinuera Road, Hinuera road continue onto Hopkins Road and back onto SH29.

An alternative route for those travelling SH29 eastbound towards Tauranga:  SH29, left onto Hopkins Road continue onto Hinuera Road to Puketutu Road, Right onto Puketutu Road, Right onto SH27, Left onto SH29.

At nights and weekends SH29 road will be unsealed and under temporary speed limits.
