Emergency services are responding to the scene of a vehicle crash and car fire at Little Waihi, near Maketu.

Police received a report of a two vehicle crash about 6.15pm.

The two vehicles collided at the intersection of Bledisloe Park Ave and Lyndhurst Ave.

"One vehicle appears to have caught fire," says a police spokesperson.

"There are no injuries."
