The MacIntosh woolshed at Manawahe will be filled with the sounds of music and laughter, not shearing and sheep when it hosts the Bitches' Box and Mel Parsons Tour on Wednesday October 31.

Tim MacIntosh says the chance to host the evening of music, theatre and comedy for rural residents was too good to miss and he's looking forward to the show which will include a fund raising barbecue dinner provided by the Manawahe District Society.

Described as a world-class show in a rural setting, the event features singer/songwriter and two-time Tui Award finalist Mel Parsons and 'an hilarious romp around the kennels as actresses Amelia Guild and Emma Newborn tell a dogs tail...all the way from The Bitches' Box”. (A bitch's box is a kennel in which female dogs are kept when they are on heat but farmers don't want them to breed).

The evening begins at 6.30pm with the barbecue at Chattan Farm, 1755 Manawahe Road, Manawahe, Kawerau.
