Trevelyan worker dies following crash near Te Puke

A fatal crash near Te Puke this morning involved seasonal employees at Trevelyan, according to a statement released by the company.

"A serious vehicle incident, involving two Trevelyan's RSE employees has occurred early this morning on Rangiuru Road, in Te Puke," says a Trevelyan spokesperson.

"Presently, we have limited information and further details regarding the incident will be released at a later date, whilst we work with the relevant authorities, and respecting the privacy of those involved.

Trevelyan managing director, James Trevelyan says the health and well-being of all Trevelyan's staff, growers, and suppliers, remains as his highest priority, and additionally, there is a dedicated plan in place to support all those affected by the incident.

Police were called to the incident at 3.20am.

And if your local town was Te Puke then you would wonder like the rest of us why they're even allowed to drive in the first place because they don't have any regard or knowledge of roadcode.
