Update, 8.15am: Both lanes of Cameron Rd passing Tauranga Hospital are now open following the collision between a bus and a pedestrian.

A pedestrian has received significant injuries following being hit by a bus on Cameron Road between the intersections with Nineteenth and Twentieth Ave.
Motorists are advised that the north bound lane of Cameron Rd is closed between 23rd Avenue and 17th Avenue.
North bound traffic will be diverted along 23th Avenue, Clark Street and 17th Avenue back onto Cameron Road.
"About 7.15am emergency services were notified of a crash involving a bus and a pedestrian at that location [between Nineteenth and Twentieth Ave on Cameron Road]," says a Police spokesperson.
"The pedestrian was said to be in a serious condition. Diversions are being put in place, traffic is being diverted off onto 23rd Ave."
The road is likely to be closed for some time and motorists are asked to follow diversions.
Earlier, 7.25am: A pedestrian has been hit by a bus on Cameron Road.
The collision has occurred between 19th Avenue and 20th Avenue.
"Injuries [are] significant," says a Tauranga Transport Operations Centre spokesperson.
Motorists are advised to expect significant delays and to consider using alternate routes.

... Given the way these drivers drive. No indication, sudden lane changes at Ohauiti roundabout, not to mention speeding down Durham street where there is a pedestrian crossing outside the university. This poor person, I wonder what the cause was?
