There is a Tauranga City Council community open day being held at Mount Drury Reserve – Hopukiore play area today from 10am - 2pm. This open day is looking at how council can best create a network of highly accessible and inclusive public spaces. This will provide greater choice for disabled members of our community, tāngata whaikaha and those with access needs, and visitors to Tauranga, in where to go and what to do, making our public spaces more inclusive benefits everybody.

There is a Tauranga City Council community feedback session today about the future use of the Tauranga Racecourse reserve land. There are seven draft options to look at. Today is the last session, being held at the Greerton Hall from 12noon -3pm.

Tauranga South Community Patrol's car boot sale and sausage sizzle has been cancelled this morning at Tauranga racecourse, due to rain. The car boot sale is usually held on the third Saturday of each month from 6.30am-12noon. A single site is $5 and a double site $10. For more information click here

Pepi Toot Beach Express.

Pepi Toot is out and about today at Mount Maunganui. Leaving from outside Spongedrop Cafe in Salisbury Ave, the train takes in local views of both beaches as well as Mount Mainstreet. Pepi Toot operates from 10am - 2pm.

Have you been to the Lion and Tusk Museum yet? It's open today from 10am - 3pm at Unit 4, 14 Portside Dr, Mount Maunganui.
