Commercial access ?

The falls are a mesmerizing sight for first time visitors. I first visited the falls back in 1963 and stood alone on the edge of the pool in wonderment at this jewel of nature. Is it possible that the only way to make this special site safe, is to have it as a commercial pay-per-visit attraction ?

Apparently there is going to a viewing platform built in 2021. Meanwhile, great that the local hapu are 'assisting' those who venture near. One of our Kiwi treasures, loved, valued and respected by ALL Kiwis.
