One person has died following a collision on Saturday night in the Karangahake Gorge.
Emergency services attended the scene of a two-car crash on SH2 near Moresby Street, by the Karangahake Gorge around 6.30pm on Saturday.
It is understood that two people were seriously injured.
One person who sustained serious and was taken to hospital has now died.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the crash.
