UPDATED: Both lanes of State Highway 2 have reopened in the Karangahake Gorge after a truck crashed into the river this morning.
One lane had been closed in the gorge between Waihi and Paeroa after a truck rolled earlier today, a police spokesperson says.

EARLIER: A truck and trailer unit has crashed into a river on State Highway 2.
Emergency services were called to the crash, in the Karangahake Gorge, just before 9.30am.
A police spokesperson says one lane is closed in the gorge between Waihi and Paeroa.
"We received a report of a truck that had rolled and a trailer of it was in the river.
"The driver was out of the vehicle and was uninjured. One lane is closed."
The NZTA is advising people to expect delays or avoid the area if possible.
