A car has hit a concrete wall on State Highway 29a, near the Te Maunga roundabout.

Photos sent to SunLive show one lane is blocked for traffic heading east.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says everyone is out of the vehicle and there doesn't appear to be any major injuries,

Motorists are advised to expect delays in the area.

A police spokesperson says police were alerted to the crash at 7.20am.

"A car collided with a barrier.

"The eastbound lane prior to the Bay Park roundabout is blocked."
