The occupants of a vehicle which ploughed into a lake in the Bay of Plenty walked away from the crash uninjured.

The crashed happened on Tuesday, according to a post on the Bay of Plenty Regional Council Facebook page.

'Some of the team were called to Lake Rotoiti to boom off a car that had ended up in the drink.
The boom helped to capture any oil or fuel that might have leaked.

'Fortunately everyone in the vehicle was fine.”
