UPDATE 1.25PM: Welcome Bay Road is reported to be blocked following a vehicle collision.

A police spokesperson says they were called to the crash at around 12.45pm.

"The crash reportedly involved a car and truck.

"No one was injured but the road is reported to be blocked.

"Tows have been called to remove the vehicles."

EARLIER:

A crash is being reported on Welcome Bay Road this afternoon.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says the crash was between a truck and a car.

A message to the SunLive Facebook page says the crash has occurred on the first rural corner past the Tauranga Waldorf School.
