Power is still out in Hairini, Tauranga, after a vehicle smashed into a power pole on Sunday afternoon.
Powerco is reporting that 72 properties are currently without power.
The supply went off in the area just before 2pm, when a car crashed with a power pole, causing the pole to snap in half.
The crash happened at the intersection of Windermere Dr and Olivine St.
There were no reported injuries as a result of the crash.
"There appear to be no injuries," says a police spokesperson.
"The pole has broken into half."
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
Powerco is estimating to have the power back on in the area around 8am.

this also caused a transformer to blow on Olivine street. We today 01/08/2019 still have know street lights on Olivine street. some houses had to be re wired as it blew out there switch board and some appliances in there house.
