$1 million win for Lotto player

A lucky Lotto player from Whangarei will be popping the champagne after winning $1 million in Saturday night's live Lotto draw.

The winning Lotto ticket was sold at New World Regent in Whangarei.

Powerball was not struck last night and has rolled over to Wednesday night, where the jackpot will be $10 million.

Meanwhile, the Strike Must Be Won jackpot of $1 million was not won by a single ticket and therefore rolled down to Strike Three. The prize was shared by 163 players, who each takes home $6,737. The winning stores and locations will be available on MyLotto on Monday.

Six Lotto players will have a boost to their bank account after each winning $44,656 with Lotto Second Division in Saturday's live Lotto draw.

One lucky player also won Powerball Second Division, taking their total winnings to $61,213. The winning Powerball Second Division ticket was sold at Fresh Choice Takaka.

The winning Second Division tickets were sold at MyLotto – Auckland, Caltex Otara – Auckland, Unichem Stortford Lodge Pharmacy – Hastings, Ideal Four Square – Gisborne, Fresh Choice Takaka (+PB) – Takaka, and New World Prestons – Christchurch.
