Kia ora and welcome to Sunday! Have you been watching the stunning sunrises and sunsets over the last few days? Photographer Cate Duff has been out capturing the 'red sky at night'.

We're expecting a fine day today, however there may be a chance of showers from the mid-afternoon.

It's a one-clothing-layer day with a high of 17 and an overnight low of 7 degrees, and some mild westerlies. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are forecast to be mainly fine, with rain due on Thursday and Friday. Overnight temperatures during the week may drop to around 5 degrees.

A Celebration of Ceramics by the Bethlehem Pottery Club is on show at the Bob Owens Retirement Village today from 10am – 3pm. Free admission, refreshments provided, and village tours available.

The Social Club are running a Social Market today from 10am – 2pm at 305 Maunganui Rd. Explore stalls with jewellery, arts and crafts, activities for the kids and delicious food specials.

At the Tauranga Historic Village is the group exhibition ‘Te Whānau O Matariki - An Exhibition' at the Incubator Creative Hub. The exhibition runs from 9am – 12pm today. For more information click here

Next door to The Incubator is the Artery – Art Learning Space, where a toy making – Nga Mahi Takaro – workshop will be held from 9am – 12.30pm. Come and learn to weave snails, snakes, fish, and birds from flax.

Ninja Knits are having their Sunday hook up at The Incubator Creative Hub from 9am – 12pm. A get-together for lovers of knitting and crochet.

Interested in writing children's books? Come along to Greerton Library from 2 -4pm and hear what ‘hats' are required to be worn when producing picture books for children with Rebecca Larsen. Cost $10. More information here

Come on a glow worm adventure at Puketoki Reserve. This evening from 5.30 – 6.45pm Forest Family are hosting a Matariki Night Time Adventure. This is suitable for adults and children over the age of three. Please bring a donation, torch, lots of warm clothing, a hot drink and snacks, blankets and something to sit on for the story telling part of the evening. You will be listening to the sounds of the bush at night searching for glow worms and doing some Matariki story telling under the stars next to the Te Puna stream. More information here
