What‘s on - Cool cats, karaoke and working bee

Kia ora and welcome to Saturday! We have a chilly evening ahead, so it's time to start thinking about donning those winter jerseys, jackets and socks.

The weather forecast for today is showing cloudy periods ahead with southwesterlies. It's a one-clothing-layer day with an expected high of 17 and an overnight low of 10 degrees.

A southwesterly airflow lies over New Zealand today with a front moving onto the lower South Island later this evening.

On Sunday June 16, we're expecting a mainly fine day with southwesterlies and a few evening showers. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are forecast to be mainly fine, with rain expected on Thursday and Friday.

Overnight temperatures during the week are expected to drop to around 5 degrees.

A Celebration of Ceramics by the Bethlehem Pottery Club is on show at the Bob Owens Retirement Village today from 10am – 3pm. Free admission, refreshments provided, and village tours available.

The BOP Hang Gliding & Paragliding Club are hosting a planting day on Mauao from 9am – 12noon. All the plants will be supplied, as well as approximately 20 spades, hand washing supplies and some gloves. If you can, bring your own gloves, and a water bottle. This year the club is working above where they planted last year - above the track to the navigation light. More information here
