Something crafty for everyone

There are plenty of handmade items for shoppers to peruse at the Waihi Beach Art & Craft Fair

The Waihi Beach Art & Craft Fair is celebrating.

This year's fair is a celebration of bringing to the community what has become an iconic event, showcasing over the past 15 years the most amazing talent in the variety of stall holders and crafts people who attend this fair.

This year is no exception with so many new stall holders attending for the first time.

Mark your calendars and make it a must-do on Sunday, June 2 - Queens Birthday weekend – at the Waihi Beach Community Centre.

There is something for everyone at this fair, from pet accessories, designer jewellery of all sorts, clothing for the whole family, plus the pets. Wooden items, art, photographic prints, soaps, herbal creams, graphic art, dolls, bears and toys, shabby chic homewares, candles and diffusers, trendy knitted garments, scarves and hats, preserves, handbags, handmade alpaca products and upcycled glass garden art and much more. There are so many amazing hand crafted items.

Doors open at 10am until 3.30 pm on June 2.

The old-style café will again be run by the hardworking volunteers from the RSA ladies providing refreshments for you to enjoy and sit and chat with friends while visiting the fair. This is always popular and their food is great.

This fair is different every year so make sure you come back and not miss all the new things.

If you haven't been before it's time to come see the fair everyone talks about.
