Police have released the name of the man who died in a single vehicle crash on State Highway 35, Opotiki on Tuesday April 16.

A police spokesperson says he was 54-year-old Arnold Stephen Maraki from Kapiti Coast, Wellington.

'Police extend their sympathies to Mr Maraki's friends and family at this difficult time.”

The investigation continues into the cause of the crash.
