A vehicle has crashed into a power pole in Welcome Bay.
A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says it happened near the Kairua Road and Welcome Bay Road intersection.
Power in the area has also gone at as a result of the crash.
According to Power Co 224 properties are affected with power going out at around 5.09pm.
Power Co says the estimated restoration for power is at 9.30pm.
