Novelty chocolates pulled from shelves

A popular brand of novelty chocolate is being pulled from shelves throughout the country.

Tresor Dore and Tresor brand chocolate products are being recalled due to the presence of an undeclared allergen, peanuts.

In a notice posted online, Ministry for Primary industry says the recall applies to the following products:

  • Tresor brand Orange Flavour Truffle (120g).
  • Tresor brand Mint Flavour Truffle (120g).
  • Tresor brand Strawberry Flavour Truffle (120g).
  • Tresor Dore brand Chocolate Seashells (45g).
  • Tresor Dore brand Chocolate Seashells (225g).
  • Tresor Dore brand Assortment Grand Luxe (46g).
  • Tresor Dore brand Milk Chocolate Flaked Truffles (45g).
  • Tresor Dore brand Chocolate Biscuit Assortment (230g).

The products are imported from China and sold at Warehouse stores throughout New Zealand. The recall applies to all batches and dates.

'People with a peanut allergy or intolerance should not consume these products,” says MPI.

'If you have consumed any of these products and have any concerns about your health, seek medical advice.

'If you are not allergic or intolerant to peanuts, this recall does not affect you.

'Customers who are allergic to peanuts should return the products to their retailer for a full refund.”
