Motorists travelling on State Highway 36 between Tauranga and Rotorua are being advised to take extra care on the road after a major diesel spill.
Police received a report of diesel on the road in the area of the south bound lanes of Oropi Road through to the Mangorewa Gorge.
According to the Bay of Plenty and Taupo Police Facebook page the spill is also on Hamurana Road between SH36 and SH33.
'Road crews will be out to address this matter shortly.”
