Power lines are down in Otumoetai after a motor vehicle accident.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Ngatai Road at 7.15am to reports that a car had hit a power pole.

A police spokesperson says it appears the pole has been knocked down.

'The lines are down and are across the road.”

'The driver of the car is out of the vehicle and appears to be uninjured.”
