Reports are coming in of a crash involving a motorcycle and a car.

A caller to the 0800 SunLive hotline says it happened on Takitimu Drive.

"There is a motorbike or maybe a scooter in the right hand lane about 100 meters from the Elizabeth Street roundabout. It is in the middle of the road and blocking it," says the SunLive caller.

"The motorcyclist isn't looking too flash."
