It was been a fine week weather wise in the Bay of Plenty, but over the next few days the fine sunshine is expected to change.

For the rest of Thursday afternoon, cloud is gradually increasing through the evening and overnight, with a few showers.

MetService Meteorologist Brian Mercer says those showers should clear in the early hours of tomorrow morning.

'Once the showers clear, it is then going to be quite a nice day.”

'We are looking at a maximum high of 22 degrees and an overnight low of 10 degrees.”

'On Saturday unfortunately, we've got another system moving over and then it's going to become quite cloudy and we are going to get some rain in the afternoon, which will then probably continue on through to Sunday, bit it should clear by mid-afternoon.”
