Emergency services are at the scene of a crash near Te Puke.

A police media spokesperson says the crash happened just before 10am.

" Police were called to a crash between a car and a small truck on Te Puke Highway, near Te Matai Road."

It is understood some people have been injured in the crash, however it is not clear how badly.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says it's happened on Te Puke Highway.

"A car, a small truck and a camper van are involved."
