As the country is slowly moving into Spring it seems we have taken a step back into Winter as more rain is on the way.
MetService has issued a heavy rain watch for the Bay of Plenty region.
Areas east of Opotiki and the Gisborne ranges are in for some more heavy rain.
MetService says from 1pm this afternoon periods of heavy and possible thunderstorms could last until 9pm tonight.
'People are also being advised to stay up to date with the latest forecast as part of this watch may be upgraded to a warning, and further areas added.”
