UPDATED: Police are investigating the cause of a crash between a motorbike and car in Tauranga today.

Police were called to the scene of a crash between a car and a motorbike on Cameron Rd, Tauranga, about 7.30am.

"I believe ambulance also attended," says a police spokesperson.

"There don't appear to be serious injuries."

EARLIER:

Reports are coming in of a crash on Cameron Road, outside Tauranga Boys' College.

"It looks like a motorcyclist and car have collided," says a caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline.

"The motorcyclist is still on the road."

Motorists are being advised to expect delays in the area as police work to clear the crash scene.
