State Highway 35 is blocked just south of Te Kaha in the Eastern Bay of Plenty after a logging truck rolled.

The incident happened about 300 metres south of the Haparapara River bridge, at 1.45pm.

This is the second logging truck incident on SH35.

"Indications are at this stage that the driver of the truck is injured, but it's unclear how seriously," says a police spokesperson.

There are no other vehicles involved.

Motorists are asked to avoid travelling in the area if possible, and expect delays.
