Our Place Tauranga recently had a soft opening so the foodies and retailers could test the waters before the opening of the container village.

Our Place Tauranga is located at 91 Willow Street in the heart of the CBD, taking over from where the Tauranga City Council administration building once was.

The party at Our Place will be taking place on August 25, from 10am till 4pm.

The retailers, which ranges from dumplings and beer to handmade ceramics, will have their containers all set up and running for the event.

Rachelle from Our Place Magazine says that the reception from the soft opening was wonderful.

'The place was buzzing and crowds came through and enjoyed the space for sure!”

'There will be free face painting, a photo booth, live music and workshops for the whole family. Plus there will be a cinema in the evening showcasing the All Blacks playing Australia.”
