Devilskin to rock Tauranga

Kiwi band Devilskin will be making their way to ASB Arena next monthk.

Kiwi four piece alternative metal band, Devilskin, is making their way to Tauranga.

Playing at ASB BayPark Stadium on September 15, the show is expected to be bigger than ever before.

'We are hoping to have more media, so a great light show and big screens and an awesome live performance, rather than just a band on stage,” says lead vocalist Jennie Skulander.

Devilskin made their debut in 2014 with the release of their album We Rise. The album went straight to the top of the charts remaining as the number one album and number one kiwi artist album for three weeks and achieved gold sales after only two weeks.

Recalling this moment Jennie says it was the moment when she thought that 'maybe we have a good thing going”.

Devilskin have had a lot of success throughout their years as a band, touring all over the world and playing different gigs and festivals but Jennie says that they are still people and they still stay humble.

'We all still live in the Waikato and some of us have house that we are doing up. We don't drive expensive cars or anything so that can keep you grounded.”

After touring around New Zealand, Devilskin will be embarking on a 12 date tour around the UK. Once that tour is over they will be recording new music.

'We have been working on a new album, we had plans to record it at the end of the year but now we will be in Europe and the UK, so it has been put on the backburner until the start of the year,” says Jennie.

'But we will be playing some new music at the shows and as soon as we get a chance we will be recording a new album.”
