One person has minor injuries and traffic is backed up near Tauranga Harbour Bridge following a three car crash.

A police media spokesperson says one person sustained minor injuries during the crash.

"Southbound traffic was building up however one lane is now open."

A witness at the scene says it happened on State Highway 2 outside the Tauranga Bridge Marina.

"It looks as though it's a three car pile up. A ute has been hit from behind by a truck towing a trailer, and that vehicle has then been hit by a large tanker truck.

"Traffic is moving slowly in the area, and it's slightly blocking one lane so cars are going around.

"There's a bit of debris on the road, but everyone is out of their vehicles and no one looks hurt."

Accidents or not

the speed along that stretch of road should be lowered, especially with traffic lights and the amount of traffic that goes thru there, might make things safer...................

With all this traffic we need to drive as close as possible to the vehicle in front. And if you’re pulling a trailer it makes no difference to stopping distance. Same with the rain, ignore it.

What do you think about businesses rejecting people’s job applications if they have tattoos?

I think it’s fine. Companies should be able to do what is right for their business.
They shouldn’t be able to discriminate someone for having tattoos.
I guess it depends where the tattoo is.
