Several homes are under water in Rotorua after relentless rain hit the area.
Many roads around Rotorua are also flooded and closed.
A reporter at the scene says at least one house is up to it's roof in flood water.

Looks like these homes should NEVER have been built on a RIVER flat that provides run-off from the valley/hills behind - in simple terms, but then a developer got approval from the COUNCIL and the COUNCIL singed the development off - a bit like "the Lakes" in Tauranga..................... !!!
