What’s On? Markets & Model Yachts

There are several markets on around Tauranga today. File photo.

It will be a great Sunday for many Kiwis this morning, after the All Blacks won a convincing victory over the Lions last night.

Emirates Team New Zealand have also kept their lead in the America's Cup, despite losing one of this morning's races to Oracle Team USA.

Happy sports fans can add to their euphoria today by checking out some of the events on around town.

This morning we have a Farmers Market at Phoenix Carpark in the Mount; the Papamoa Lions Club Market at Gordon Spratt Reserve; and the Oropi Sunday market at Oropi Community Hall. See below for times and other details.

Meanwhile, this afternoon, radio-controlled model yacht enthusiasts will be meeting at the pond behind 24 Montego Drive, Papamoa, to sail Electron and similar three-foot long yachts, for fun. Adult beginners are welcome. Call Graham on 572 5419 for more information.

If sailing in miniature isn't you're thing, there's bound to be something else to tickle your fancy below:
