This afternoon at The Incubator in the Tauranga Historic Village, Nick Eggleston and Clare Birch are putting the final touches to a large mural.
On Monday the artwork will be attached to the top of the village's TECT Theatre.
The theatre with new sign 'Village Cinema' has been undergoing renovations over the last few months and has a distinct Art Deco style.
The art piece features well-known movie themes with Clint Eastwood, King Kong, the mini from Goodbye Pork Pie, Alfred Hitchcock, The Great Gatsby, Metropolis and The Godfather with a city skyline backdrop.
"Painting Clint Eastwood made Nick's day," laughs Clare.
"It's taken eight days to paint," says Nick. "And three days before that to prep it."
The art work shape will be cut around on Monday and then installed.
