Countdown for leaky school

Papamoa's Tahatai Coast School is counting down the five weeks left until it gets the first new classrooms that are part of its multi-million dollar repair.
The school is described as the worst leaky school in the Western Bay of Plenty and was given government funding to repair its leaky buildings.

Deputy principal Jenny Griggs at Tahatai Coast School.

Dual principal Jenny Griggs says eight new classrooms will be returned to the school in five weeks.
The return of the classrooms is the first stage of the school's refurbishment to be completed.
The school's hall is expected to be complete by the end of term three and repairs to four other classrooms are expected to be carried out while repairs on the hall are done.
Other school buildings will be repaired, but the school is unsure when that will be.
"We're not sure at this point in time. It's still in the planning stage."
Jenny says the students have shown "real resilience" during the repair process, but have not had to undergo enormous change.
She also says the expertise shown by the builders is superb.
