The quest to find the Bay of Plenty Young Fruit Grower of the Year is underway at Baypark with four finalists competing in a range of tasks.

As well as practical skills related to growing practices and industry work, they are being tested on their grower knowledge and public speaking skills.

The event culminates in the finals dinner tonight where New Zealand Kiwifruit Growers Incorporated President Peter Ombler is a guest speaker on the topic of ‘Living with Psa'.
