Tauranga Boys' College principal Robert Mangan is off to the Shanghai World Expo in July after being selected for a high profile delegation that is heading there.

Robert Mangan is heading to China to strengthen ties with both that and the Tauranga community.

Robert will join local political and business leaders on the visit to China.
He will also travel to Yantai, Tauranga's sister city, after the world expo.
Robert says this is a unique opportunity to visit China and to learn more about China-New Zealand relations.
He says the opportunity will also allow him to develop new relationships with schools and communities both in Shanghai and at Yantai, Tauranga's sister city in China, as well as get to know his fellow delegation members from the Western Bay of Plenty business community.
This opportunity is funded by the Asia New Zealand Foundation and Export Bay of Plenty and facilitated by Priority One's INSTEP programme.
