This week Tauranga MP Simon Bridges returns to his Wellington routine after spending most of January in his electorate.
Tauranga MP Simon Bridges reflects on the start of 2011 and what the year ahead holds on video below.
He has taken the opportunity to enjoy the mostly good weather by meeting with his constituents and has undertaken a door-knocking programme.
Simon enjoyed his summer and is bringing optimism from this time into Parliament in 2011.
He says there is much for Tauranga to be happy about this year with the National Government working hard for the city and the broader Western Bay of Plenty.

Let your Caucus friends know what most people in your Tauranga Electorate and particularly National supporters feel about the current Foreshore and Seabed Bill-- It is an unjustified piece of racial rubbish aimed at benefitting one section of the NZ community to the detriment of all other NZERS.To call it a rort would not be strong enough.
