Andrew Von Dadelszen is not returning to Bay of Plenty Regional Council to lead its transport committee and represent Tauranga.
In the Bay of Plenty Regional Council progress results released at about 2.20pm, Andrew is showing as the sixth most popular candidate for the Tauranga constituency with just the top four achieving election.
Andrew Von Dadelszen and Karen Summerhayes have not achieved re-election for bay of Plenty Regional Council.
Karen Summerhayes is also not re-elected, however, the progress votes put her just outside the top four candidates, missing election by just 77 votes. With special votes it is possible she could overcome this margin.
The progress results, which reflect 98 per cent of the vote, show John Cronin (16,601 votes), Philip Sherry (14,651 votes), Douglas Owen (11,829 votes) and Paula Thompson (11,612 votes) as the elected councillors.

VERY disappointed to see Andrew not get in. How many councillors are as hard working, put the time in, read the information available and ask questions? Philip Sherry - how many meetings do you attend and what do you do exactly?
