Tauranga residents who haven't received their local government election voting papers have no excuse for not casting a vote.
Tauranga City Council democracy services manager Yvonne Tatton says anyone eligible who hasn't been sent a voting pack can cast a special vote by calling at the council's Willow Street office.
'Voting closes on Saturday, October 9, so people should remember to post their vote by October 6 to make sure it is received in time, or bring it into council's customer service centre.”
The service centre reception desk will be open next Saturday till midday to cater for those who have missed the posting date or want voting papers.
To be eligible to vote, people must either live in Tauranga or own property there.
