As a part of SunLive's election coverage, the newsroom team is writing a series of issue based articles that provide an account of the recent past and current status of the Tauranga City Council.
These articles are then emailed to all council candidates for them to each write a 100 word maximum response to it, providing them with the opportunity to succinctly state what their position on the issue raised is.

The articles will cover a range of issues including the Historic Village, rates increases and Tauranga City Venues Ltd.
These articles will then be published to SunLive with candidate responses divided into their wards and listed in the order that they were received by SunLive.
