Onesies were rampant at Papamoa Primary School today as pupils participate in a mufti-day to raise money for a fellow pupil currently in Starship Hospital.
Today's theme ‘come as you like' encourages pupils to bring a gold coin donation that will go towards the ill child's family.

Principal Phil Friar says the pupil was rushed to Starship Children's Hospital a few weeks ago and the school wanted to support the family.
As a courtesy to the family, Phil did not want to go into details about the child's illness.
'The funds will be given to the family to put where the needs are. There's been obviously significant expense for them, as they've been at his bedside for weeks now.”
The majority of children took part in the mufti day, says Phil, who estimates about $500-$700 will be raised.
'The whole idea is to support the family,” says Phil.
'It's about the school having a heart for the members of the community and it's wonderful that our students have actually stood up to support one of their peers and the family.”
